Snakes Do Not Eat French Fries is one of his favorite poems. This poem was inspired by four garter snakes that lived with Stephen for a few years. Their names were Gretchen, Zeus, Thor, and Kirt. When Daisy came to live at the house, it was time to let the snakes go to the woods. Daisy was too curious about these small slithery creatures.
